Read about her first farrier visit HERE
I wanted to break down the cost of the rescue mare so far these past 15 days:
$20 Hay
$20 pelleted feed
$65 SMZ Antibiotics
$100 hoof care - trim, wraps, treatments for back hooves
$20 dressings, proud flesh treatments, wraps for pastern laceration
$10 wormer doses
$50 bute, banamine
$285 total - which is a SMALL expense to have saved this mare, in my opinion.
But anyway, that is a breakdown of rough costs so far.
We've received $170 in donations, which is awesome! I appreciate the help with the mare more than anyone knows!
Our vet, Chade Brown, told me we really need to do X-rays ASAP.
He will be out tomorrow, and that visit plus 4 views with X-rays will be approximately
$170 if nothing is needed but an exam, X-rays and a farm call.
I will be putting these charges on a credit card since we are maxed out on cash, and I am happy to do it, BUT if anyone would like to help, that would be appreciated, as well.
If you would like to help - and no amount is too small - you can call Brown Vet directly to sponsor her:
Our account is under Tinia Stratton and John Creamer.
The vet's info is:

If you would like to donate directly, that is fine, too.

You can also help, if you cannot afford to sponsor her, in a BIG way by simply sharing this blog via facebook, craigslist, other blogs or via email.
Thank you!
