Time4Learning

http://time4learning.com/

As you all know, we homeschool. Time 4 Learning is an online program that
allows kids to work totally online, at their pace and allows subjects to be adjusted
individually based on the student's abilities, so Math can be at a 4th grade level,
while Language Arts can be at a 3rd grade level, etc, depending on the needs of the child.

We were able to get a free trial for a 30 days, and in return we were to write a blog about the program.

I like the program, but for my son, the explanations given by it the system for
some questions and problems were too difficult for my son to understand and
required a lot of additional explanation by us. My son learns in a unique way, so I
do think that most kids would be able to grasp the explanations given by the system.

For $20 a month, I feel it is a good deal and could be a part of a home school program for most kids.

  3. We have used Time4Learning for a number of years now. My kids love it! I love it because I can change the grade level in just one subject area, if needed, without it affecting the level of the other subjects. That's often been necessary, especially with one of my children. I have a son with Tourette's Syndrome and along with it comes a whole host of other issues, such as ADHD and dyslexia. I have found that he has excelled with the Time4Learning program, even though I've had to change the grade level of some of the subjects from time to time. That's okay with me, as long as he's learning in the spot he's in! Thanks so much for sharing your honest thoughts about Time4Learning. Just as you, I think the program is very affordable and thorough, and most kids would do well with the program. You mentioned that your son had a unique way of learning. If you feel comfortable in sharing, I would be interested in knowing how your son learns. I've learned so much from other homeschooling parents! It would be great if I could get a glimpse into how you tweak things to meet the needs of your unique learner. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
